The founder of our surveying service was Jim Kurth.  He was introduced into the field of land surveying in the early 1950's, became a licensed  Land Surveyor and worked as a sole proprietor through the 1960's until the mid 80's.  During this time he brought his sons into the business and they learned on the job.  Though now retired, he still has an interest in surveying and continues to be a continuing source of information and holds a wealth of knowledge that to this day is tapped into by long time clients and ourselves.   Kurth Surveying, Inc. itself was incorporated in 1977 by Russell and Randy Kurth, James sons.  They are Minnesota licensed Land Surveyors.  Having grown up in a surveying business, it was only logical to continue to pursue it as a profession.  Into our third generation, Randy's son Jordan, the newest member of our firm is currently in college, pursuing the education that will lead to his becoming a licensed professional surveyor.
